Sharqy Foundation

Sharqy Foundation for Cultural Development & Innovation was established in Saida, Lebanon by a group of passionate and enthusiastic community members. Its mission is to inspire and empower cultural development and innovation by promoting cultural preservation, providing a supportive and welcoming environment for local resources, and fostering an ecosystem that empowers and develops local projects and talent. The foundation also aims to promote understanding and respect for diversity, multiculturalism, and equality, while creating opportunities for cultural, educational, artistic, and touristic enrichment.

Sharqy Foundation is lead by a group of passionate and enthusiastic members of the community who are keen on active cultural work have more than 100 years of accumulated experience in launching and developing socially responsible projects and enabling local talents in relation to cultural, educational, artistic and touristic activities across Lebanon and the Middle East.

  • The restoration and rehabilitation of a historic archaeological site in the Saida Old Town in 2009
